Abstract:
This seminar provides a comprehensive overview of the latest research achievements and application prospects in noise and vibration solutions and their optimal design. First, a simulation-based design framework is introduced to enable efficient analysis and development of complex acoustic-mechanical systems, with its applicability demonstrated through a case study of a speakerphone system integrating mechanical, acoustic, and electrical components. Second, intelligent numerical optimization methods, such as topology and shape optimization, are presented for incorporating structural, acoustic, and vibroacoustic behaviors into the design process. Practical examples are discussed to illustrate fast and effective pathways toward design innovation. Finally, the seminar explores the design and application of metamaterials as an alternative beyond conventional noise and vibration control technologies, highlighting case studies that demonstrate their potential for solving challenging problems. By integrating numerical analysis with optimal design, this seminar offers innovative and practical insights for researchers and engineers in the field of noise and vibration.
Danish pastry, coffee and tea will be served 15 minutes before the seminar starts.
