Furthermore, it is desirable to combine the advantages of gradient materials and additive manufacturing.</span></p>\n<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-right: 0cm; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-right: 0cm; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"></span><span style="text-align: left;">In this talk opportunities and challenges of functionally graded materials by additive manufacturing will be highlighted from a materials&rsquo; perspective. A brief introduction of additive manufacturing by Laser metal deposition will be given and possibilities at University of&nbsp;</span><span style="text-align: left;">Applied Science Kiel (UAS Kiel) will be presented. Results from current research projects concerning parameter development for gradient materials will be shown and an outlook on future activities will be given.</span></p>\n<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-right: 0cm; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black;">\n<br />\n</span><span style="color: black;">Cake, coffee and tea will be served 15 minutes before the seminar starts.</span>&nbsp;<br />\n<br />\nAll interested persons are invited</p>
